Affirmation

Everyone is an artist is some way. Whether it be in writing, images, or how one deals with people. One of the most needed things an artist desires is affirmation. Affirmation that someone is noticing. Affirmation that someone likes or even dislikes what you have done. Feedback is the only way to know if people are reading what you write or looking at the images you produce. So become more comfortable with leaving a message for people. If you read a blog or see something that interest you, let that person know. I am talking to myself as much as anyone. I some times find it difficult to say what I want, but find it doesn’t take much to encourage someone. Just as a smile can lift someone you meet, one word or a smiley face makes a difference. When you can find the words, use them. If in the case of not liking something, try to word it gently. Be considerate of the person. Leaving nothing says, I viewed but disliked it so much it is not worth my time to check a box or leave a comment. Whatever your art form, may people always encourage, respect, and affirm your efforts.

I have not only lived many chapters in one life, but many lives in one body. The person I am today is far wiser than the me of young adulthood. My life is like your life with its ebb and flow. We are all connected in some way. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother, but what makes me, well, me is the way I wife, mother, and grandmother. I am a liver transplant survivor. Whatever devastation you have survived, we survived in our individual ways. I create with words and photos. I am a writer and photographer.
