Breathe! Inhale deeply; exhale slowly! Drink in the smells of Autumn.

Look, really look! See the changes around you.

Feel! Embrace the crispness in the air.

Seasons come and go year after year. Some change slowly depending on where you live. Summers can be brutal and drag on in this area leaving people drained. This year was not so. We had an extremely mild summer for here.

Never the less, I am always happy to see the signs of Fall. It calls to me to come see the wispy fog raising from the ground in the early mornings. The beauty of the changing colors lulls me into a state of wonder. The coolness of the mornings and evenings pulls me to don a wrap, sip a hot cup of coffee or tea, and daydream about past, present, and future seasons.

This is a time of reflection. A time to enjoy every detail of the world around us. A time of change.

Autumn is my favorite season followed closely by Spring. Every year, I hope for a long Autumn or Spring. We have them some years and some years not. Our Summer weather often lingers long after the calendar pronounces the beginning of Fall. It is the same with Winter and Spring. Maybe that is another reason to enjoy this amazing time of year to the fullest.

So, tell me, what is your favorite time of year? Why?

I have not only lived many chapters in one life, but many lives in one body. The person I am today is far wiser than the me of young adulthood. My life is like your life with its ebb and flow. We are all connected in some way. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother, but what makes me, well, me is the way I wife, mother, and grandmother. I am a liver transplant survivor. Whatever devastation you have survived, we survived in our individual ways. I create with words and photos. I am a writer and photographer.
