Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day

This is a special time that is set aside to give our mothers a little extra attention. They deserve it every day for the every day things are what matter.

What does the word Mother mean to you? For me…

it conjures a slide show of memories of time spent with my mother. Mom has always been a tough act to follow. Her life is one filled with joy and sorrow both met head-on with grace.

it brings back all the memories of my children. All the hugs of little arms, all the sticky kisses, all the laughter, all the tears flash by my mind’s eye.

it gives me hope for the future as I watch my children nurture my grandchildren. To be Grandma is a great privilege and a wonderful experience. There is no greater joy than to see a child’s face light up just because you entered the room.

The cycle continues. Lessons and history are passed from one generation to another and another and another. We hold our past precious, our future hopeful, and our present joyful.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to one and all!!

I have not only lived many chapters in one life, but many lives in one body. The person I am today is far wiser than the me of young adulthood. My life is like your life with its ebb and flow. We are all connected in some way. I am a wife, mother, and grandmother, but what makes me, well, me is the way I wife, mother, and grandmother. I am a liver transplant survivor. Whatever devastation you have survived, we survived in our individual ways. I create with words and photos. I am a writer and photographer.
